Minster Group named ‘Sustainable Supply Chain Partner’ by Balfour Beatty

We’ve been awarded the title of ‘Sustainable Supply Chain Partner’ by infrastructure giant, Balfour Beatty as a result of our sustainable initiatives on recent projects!

The status of ‘Sustainable Supply Chain Partner’ has been given in recognition of Minster Group’s dedication to sustainability, recycling and environmental responsibility.

This award is the latest accolade for our green approach, having also won awards from BusinessGreen, Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and the Lincolnshire Technology & Innovation Awards.

We’ve worked closely alongside Balfour Beatty in recent years, supporting the team on a number of maintenance projects within their six-year highways maintenance contract with Lincolnshire County Council.

Bruce Spencer-Knott,  managing director of Minster Group, said:

“We are extremely proud to receive the title of ‘Sustainable Supply Chain Partner’ by Balfour Beatty in recognition of our innovative approaches which enable us to complete high-quality civil engineering projects with a reduced impact on the environment. Minster Group continuously strives to improve the sustainability of road resurfacing, through the reduction of emissions and the use of recycled materials wherever possible.

“Our ability to meet our sustainability vision is down to the collective enthusiasm of the Term Maintenance Contract (TMC) and local authority partners including Balfour Beatty. This recognition is a testament to them and their trust in Minster Group.”

At the heart of Minster’s sustainability practises is our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint by recycling waste products and reducing the volume of materials disposed of at landfills. As part of this, we produces our own recycled concrete products using the waste materials removed from infrastructure projects, and additional material can be recycled on site.
